In 1977 - The Texas legislature officially proclaimed chili the "state food of Texas" in recognition of the long history of chili and Texans. We love Texas chili, and are proud to present our wonderful Texas souvenir bowl, as well as providing you with Texas chili recipe options.

Our product is handmade in Cypress Texas (NW Houston) and is a solid ceramic bowl with dividers for condiments which can be added to what is eaten out of the bowl's largest compartment which forms the state of Texas.

Each of our bowls takes 4 weeks to make. The process starts when we pour liquid clay into molds that have been designed and patented. Pouring the bowls can take 10 to 12 hours depending on the mold's internal moisture. In short, the drier the mold the faster the clay will setup. After they dry for 2 weeks the bowls are ready to be sanded and any imperfections removed.
Next the bowls are moved to the kiln where they are fired to bisque The next step is to paint and glaze the bowls then let them dry for 48 hours before being fired for the second time. Now it is time for the decals to be applied, dried and fired for the last time. Our hand crafted Texas souvenir bowls are individually boxed for sale. The bowls are also includes in our Texas gift baskets and Texas food gift boxes.
